Almost a year after releasing her debut album SOUR, Olivia Rodrigo revisits the drive from Salt Lake City to LA that helped her write the album that earned her 7 Grammy nominations and revisits the songs that skyrocketed her to fame.

For those who don’t know, Olivia Rodrigo is a 19 year old singer and actress. She originally got her fame from being on the show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Her first major single was “All I Want” but was quickly followed up by several other very popular singles, such as, “Drivers License”, “Deja Vu” and “Good 4 U.” SOUR is her first and only album at this time, but it is very likely to be the first of many! Olivia Rodrigo was a popular Disney teen star who has turned into a teen pop star. Driving Home 2 U Review

Olivia Rodrigo is a very talented singer, and I really enjoyed her album SOUR, so I was looking forward her movie to see the behind the scenes of the album. Each performance was unique and many of them subverted my expectations in a good way. Watching her work with her producer was fun, and seeing their brainstorming process was interesting.

This documentary is so pretty! The cinematography is beautiful, and the whole aesthetic of the documentary is so fun to look at. Each of the performances is unique, and the environment for each one is interesting to look at. My favorite environment was the deteriorating plane. Olivia is known for her highly stylized outfits and music videos, and I felt that the movie reflected that.

Even if you go into this documentary without knowing who Olivia Rodrigo is, you will get drawn in pretty quickly. She is a very fun and captivating and you immediately get drawn entire her personal story as a teenage girl with talent and having fun with life. Ultimately, Driving Home 2 U was made for the fans of Olivia Rodrigo, but can be enjoyed by most anyone who likes to see how music is made.
