Who are we?:
We are a nerdy blogging team!
Bill is an insurance man by day, theologian by night, and teacher on the weekends. He will be writing as the Hobbit, because he’s a Lord of the Rings fan and has been told one or two times that he looks ‘hobbit-ish’.
Sarah is a mom and teacher by day, by night and by weekend but also an aspiring author. She writes as the Elf because she’s always loved elves. She’s also our main blog moderator.
Nathaniel writes as the Ent because he likes to think of himself as one who is slow to speak and long to think. He is a financial analyst by day, teacher and reader by night.
Kate writes as the Unicorn, a young disabled writer based in Colorado. She’s obsessed with anything Marvel, Disney, or theatre. She can normally be found performing and singing dramatically in the car.
We blog about the things we are passionate on inspiring conversations about- mainly movies, books, church, family, and education.

Kathy writes as the Queen because she is the queen of this merry band of bloggers. She is an HR specialist by day and reader by night.
Rachel writes as the Princess because because she wants to be just like Belle. She is a marketing specialist by day, an avid entertainment consumer and health nut by night.
Sean writes as the Ranger because he seeks out justice and adventure at every turn. He is a barista by day, a video game and health nut by night.
What are we about?:
We believe a few things that are foundational in our writing.
- We believe in kind, relational conversations!
- We think kids are important- like REALLY important.
- We know we don’t know everything, or really a lot of anything at all!! ‘The more we read, the more we know and the more places we go!’ (to very loosely quote Dr. Suess)
- Jesus is our savior. We love God and we write some about our developing faith journeys.
Comment Policy: We view commenting like a good game of Apples to Apples… You can say something super on topic (kindly or funnily), You can say something totally off topic that somehow works in the conversation, OR you can discard. That happy little ‘x’ in the corner- that’s the discard. We know you won’t agree with everything we say. We don’t even agree with each other a lot of the time. BUT we talk about it in person- kindly…. For the most part- I get a little heated in my defense of Austen. If you don’t like what we write- I’m sure there’s a blog you will agree on! Leave ours and go google what you do want to read!
SO if you cannot say something kindly, PLEASE do not say it on our page, on a link to our page, or on a share. Go somewhere else. We want to set an example for the next generation about how to have a kind discussion, preferably in person, but also online. We can’t control that unfortunately, so we are asking for your help. Let’s choose kind and move on when we cannot.
