Quick Agent of SUIT Summary

Cilantro, the chameleon who has the ability to turn invisible, is given her first assignment as an Agent of SUIT! What appears to be a fairly simple case leads to an unbelievably complex case. Is Cilantro up to the task or will she find herself behind a desk again at headquarters?

Agents of Suit Review

Agents of SUIT has the overall feel that we have come to expect from the Investigators series, but there are some differences. There seemed to be more going on plot and subplot wise, which left it feeling a bit hurried, especially near the end. Despite this, the characters and setting do really shine through and is still very enjoyable. It will be interesting to see how the series universe continues to expand, especially with the how this book ends.

Cilantro doesn’t really get a lot of time to shine in the Investigators series. So, it was really awesome to really dive into her personality and abilities alongside Monocle. We were also introduced to a lot of new, fun characters who may or may not appear in future projects. The story definitely gets a bit weird (even for an Investigators book), but does have a through line that comes together in the end. Overall, we recommend this book for most readers (I read it aloud to my four year old and she loved it).

Is Agents of SUIT Appropriate?

Similar to the rest of the Investigators books, Agents of SUIT is overall designed for kids. There is an overarching mystery that may be a bit confusing for very young readers/listeners to the story. This book in particular deals with aliens who are taking over people’s minds. Despite this, through the artwork and writing, none of it comes off as overly menacing.

There are some jokes in there that are simply thrown in to make the adults laugh, but none of them are of the inappropriate nature. Overall, Agents of SUIT is a fun read (or read aloud) for most of the kids in the family.

Favorite Agents of SUIT Quotes

I know it’s a tiny case, but I’m a new field agent! I’m taking it seriously!

I don’t have a ton of info yet, but I might have seen an actual spaceship last night.

Your orders are to listen to yourselves, for once. How long have you merely done what you were told to do, just because that’s what you were told to do?

It’s the Throng way or the wrong way!

And that is why to this day they are called “lions” and not “truth-uns.”
