**SPOILERS AHEAD**

The Rings of Power season 2 episode 4 recap is here. And while it has it’s own tension and intensity, it wasn’t as big as last weeks episode -thankfully!-. We find Theo, find out that Estrid had Adar’s mark, and that Adar has Galadriel. Poppy and Nori are not safe and the Stranger isn’t sure who he is, but he now knows what he is supposed to do.

Is it Gandalf? How does Galadriel know Adar? Who did Estrid find? Lots of questions left to answer! It’s been a quick season so far and the tension is building.

What happens to the Elves in The Rings of Power Season 2 episode 4 recap.

No one has heard from Celebrimbor, so Elrond and Galadriel get ready to depart to go to him. They find that a bridge has been destroyed and meet evil undead skeletons in the forest they’re forced into. And find that it is where the Elf messengers died. Unfortunately, too much time has already passed and Sauron has already enacted a lot of his plan.

By the time they get close, they find Adar marching into the Elf territory. Galadriel sends Elrond, their company, and the ring back to the high king and starts to ward off the Orcs. She almost makes it out until Adar himself stops her and calls her by name.

What happens to the outpost in The Rings of Power Season 2 episode 4 recap.

Theo goes missing and Isildur and Erondir lead a search party for him. They discover that it wasn’t men who took him at all. But they also discover that Estrid has Adar’s mark. They’re instantly cruel to her and believe she meant to betray them. She reiterates that she could have picked the mark, or death. And she chose to live.

They release her right before they come upon two Ents. The Ents are who have been collecting the wildsmen and who have Theo. They are upset about the Orc army burning their way through the woods around Mordor. Erondir is able to speak with them. They release all of the men they have taken hostage, including someone Estrid knows.

Erondir says he must follow Adar’s trail and asks Theo if he wants to come, Theo says no. But they part as better-than-friends.

What happens on the road with Nori and Poppy in The Rings of Power Season 2 episode 4 recap.

The Stranger goes searching for Poppy and Nori after the tornado and meets Tom Bombadil AND an Ent. And The Stranger/wizard finds out that his task is to stop a fire and to face Sauron.

Nori and Poppy surprisingly meet another halfling, but they are Stoors instead of Harfoots. They learn more of their history, that it was an adventurous halfling that set out from the Stoor’s group who even founded the Harfoots. And that they dreamed of one day being, what we now know as, the hobbits. But the hunters come and threaten to attack the Stoors.
