Reviews:

Thoughts from the Ranger:
I really liked this movie! The movie did pokemon justice. It did a great job bringing you into the world of pokemon and by that I mean, If you know nothing about pokemon you will still like this movie and understand everything, but they also throw things in for the super fans out there. The plot kept you guessing till the end and did a great job making you feel like you were a detective yourself. Having a story within the world of pokemon rather than the usual story of ash ketchum made a great entrance into the world without making it cheesy or overplayed. I think Pokemon: Detective Pikachu is a great movie that people will enjoy.

Thoughts from the Princess:
I liked this movie! The plot definitely was not predictable and threw quite a few twists in there! Seeing all the pokemon come to life was so fun, and even though I have never been a super fan, it was still so cool to see. I think anyone can enjoy this movie, especially the big fans! The morals of forgiveness of yourself and others, as well as, friendship and sticking with your friends no matter what, really stood out. I also loved that this movie explored emotions. And that even if it cost you something, doing the right thing is important. It isn’t something you often see in a movie like this! Overall it was really fun, full of laughs and suspense. I think older kids and parents will all have fun seeing this one.
