Quick Summary:
After the fall of the empire, bounty hunters still ply their trade at the edges of the galaxy. We follow one of these bounty hunters as he takes on a new hunt, when a moral dilemma finds him starting off on a new journey. The Mandalorian must navigate this new world, while learning how to cope with these new challenges as well as some past demons.
Viewers should be aware that this show occurs in the Star Wars universe, but we do not see any of the characters from the movies. You should also be aware that prior knowledge of the Star Wars universe is NOT needed.

Favorite Moments from Mandalorian Season 1
1) A show of loyalty
One really interesting scene happens when all of the Mandalorians appear and save the title character. It was a nice twist and a contrast between the bonds of what is a way of life (religious implications) and the bonds of the guild. (Episode 3)
2) The Mandalorian starts to show a soft side
The Mandalorian, after telling baby Yoda not to take off the knob, unscrews the knob and hands it to him. This is one of the first signs of genuine sweetness we see from the Mandalorian, which is just a taste of what is to come. (Episode 2)
3) The Magnificient Seven reference
The Mandalorian tells the villagers that they are not paying him much and they reply that this is all they have. Straight out of The Magnificent Seven, and ties again into character revelation. Also, this entire episode (Which was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard) was one of the best of the season due to the true humanization of the Mandalorian. (Episode 4)
4) The Mandalorian recognizes the sacrifice
The Mandalorian is sad that IG-88 is going to sacrifice himself. This shows a great connection because of the Mandalorian’s previous views that all droids were at bad at their core (Episode 8)
5) The fuller story is shown
We get the Mandalorian’s back story, and we see why baby Yoda struck such a chord. He has been there. This shows such an emotional side of the Mandalorian, which simultaneously makes him relatable while also making him a character with great development and depth.

- What was your favorite Baby Yoda (The Child) moment from this season? (For older kids)- How do you think the existence of The Child may play into the bigger Star Wars universe?

- Tell of a time that you had to stand up to someone you knew was doing something wrong.

Mandalorian Parent Review: **SPOILERS**
Characters & Acting:
-The acting was well done. Many of the characters only require voice acting, but both real life, CGI, and puppetry flow together well throughout the entire season
-Although there were not that many we follow through the entire season, the Mandalorian’s story and journey is so captivating that all else can be looked past.
-Baby Yoda (that is all) =)
Script & Story:
-I like the idea that they are releasing this in weekly episodes, instead of all at once. It is the Star Wars universe; but it kept a lot of the same feel of the original films (western and all).
-The path felt a bit clunky at times, but ultimately the story told was interesting and always kept you one your toes.
Film Quality:
-For the most part, the real life acting, CGI, and puppetry flowed together very seamlessly. You can definitely tell that Disney put a large budget behind this series, which shines through.
