-Why Watch Camp Cretaceous-
If you enjoyed the first season, this season picks up exactly where we left off. Darius and the other kids are stuck on this island filled with dinosaurs. This leads to an intense and fun adventure that goes through a logical route at the beginning with a fun twist thrown in about halfway through the series. This tangent adds depth and intrigue to the entire rest of the season. Camp Cretaceous season 2 is a lot of fun for anyone who can handle some slightly scary dinosaurs.

-Plot for Camp Cretaceous-
The story jumps straight back into the park as we join our group of friends who have been abandoned on a deserted island filled with dinosaurs. The friends are still mourning a loss as they try to find ways to communicate to the outside world. Wondering if everyone already assumes the worst. When help does arrive, the season appears to be wrapped up, but things quickly go awry as one of the newcomers doesn’t appear very trustworthy. This new dynamic carries through the season and ultimately leads to the climax.
Although the plot isn’t very complicated, it still adds a lot of depth and intrigue to what could be a pretty paint by the numbers kids show. The character’s chemistry and interplay with one another really add to the depth of the plot and is really engaging. And what a fantastic cliffhanger the season ends on! Definitely, one to make you wish for a season 3. And remember- Netflix shows do not get picked up for renewal unless there’s enough online chatter chatter and enough streams and re-streams.
-Characters in Camp Cretaceous-
For many people, the characters are going to be the most appealing factor of this show. The characters have lost some of that annoying edge that they deliberately had during season 1 (This was so they could have some good character development). Now that most of our characters have been through this ordeal, their lives have been recontextualized and they are better for it. Darius, our lead character, has always been the solid foundation for all of the other wackier characters and this did not change in season 2.
The most interesting character change in season 2 is that of Ben. In the first season, he was the slightly neurotic, germaphobe. As you can imagine, this was not a great combination for being trapped on a dinosaur island. When he is thrust into the situation of having to fend for himself though, he steps up in an amazing way. It was also nice that they didn’t completely change his character (he is still a germaphobe), but rather being able to balance that and the greater needs in his life. Side note: he does this alongside his adorable sidekick bumpy (You can even buy a Bumpy shirt here)
