Our Commentary on Season 1 Episode 6 of The Rings of Power

This episode was so intense! I missed seeing the Harfoot’s adventure. But seeing the Numenor crew, Galadriel, Halbrand, and the Southlanders all coming back together to fight Adar’s army was fantastic. This episode had such fantastic production quality! It was so similar to a full length movie. The battle scenes and the battle wounds looked like they came straight from the big screen. Mount Doom really made a sad splash.

The rings of power season 1 episode 6 bronwyn quote about light and shadow

I’m still suspicious of pretty much everyone’s motives. But it was nice to see Isildur’s friends come back together and for he and his dad to have a good conversation about his mom. I have so many questions… like when was the sword switched out?! I’ll have to go back and re-watch. The other thing that really got me thinking was Adar’s speech about the Orcs having souls. It’s interesting because it is a problem that Tolkien was aware of but had not figured out or written out how that problem might be solved. I could write a few posts just about this episode- so much happened! So we’ll just leave it at this for now. What was you favorite part?!
