Spidey and His Amazing Friends Summary
Spidey and His Amazing Friends is a Disney junior show which revolves around best friends Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, Miles Morales who all have spider alter-egos. This is while they try to stop some of everyone’s favorite Spider-Man villains, like Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Rhino through problem-solving and teamwork. There also lots of fun cameos from other Marvel characters such as Black Panther, Hulk, and Ms. Marvel.

Spidey and His Amazing Friends Review
-Is Spidey and His Amazing Friends Appropriate?-
This show is very much geared towards younger kids, unlike most other Spider-Man media. If your kid is feeling left out while older siblings get to watch Spider-Man or other Marvel properties, this is a great age-appropriate introduction to the Marvel Universe. On multiple levels, Spidery and His Amazing friends is very similar to PJ Masks and Marvel Super Hero Adventures. This also works as a great show because it introduces you to characters in Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse which is a the next step once the kids get a bit older.
-Characters-
All three of the main Spider-People were cute characters. Their friendship is cute, and the way that they problem-solve is admirable. The voice-acting is ok, it definitely feels like a pre-school show. It’s fun to see all the other Marvel characters that come in, like Hulk, Black Panther, and Ms. Marvel. The villains aren’t too scary, and in most of the episodes, they learn a lesson about being good or nicer.
-Story/Quality-
Though the show runs on a formulaic “Villain does bad thing, Hero stops them” story, each story has an important life lesson about teamwork, kindness, patience, etc. It feels a little weird that the kids consistently keep their parents in the dark about their Spider alter-egos, but it’s not a huge part of the show, but worth talking about with your kids if they’re old enough to understand. The animation isn’t as bad as other pre-school tv shows. The setting generally feels empty, with only a few characters walking around. The theme song is fun to listen to though!
