when you look at other cultures and you find all of the things that make them in need of saving, you break the ability to truly be in communion with them. And that can be very dangerous.
Someone who cared about the kids would say “This could be you, you could be killed in school. we’ve got to do something to stop that.” He (Ron Luce) say, “Wouldn’t that be awesome? This could be you. Your name could be remembered.” And he was willing to teach a generation of kids, you’re expendable. And maybe the most valuable thing you could ever do is die.
I don’t think we would be talking about Teen Mania now, were it not for the Columbine massacre in 1999.

There was a lot rooted in me that I had to dig out from this kind of experience. There was a lot of prejudice I didn’t know that I had towards just people living their lives.
Coming to terms with the fact that this Jesus that’s been sold to me for the longest time is not my Jesus. It’s a journey for sure.
We were complicit, but we were also victims.
You have to stand for the truth, and you have to stand for what’s right or else we’re going to lose everything,
