Christopher Robin Discussion Guide:
1- Christopher Robin prioritized work for him and his daughter as the top priority, but then realized that family should always be the top priority. What are some of the priorities in your life? Is family first or a top priority?
2- Pooh Bear and Christopher Robin say that “doing nothing often leads to the very best kind of something”. What do you think that meant to them? How does it relate to you?
3- Each character has a very distinct personality. Which of Christopher Robins friends do you relate to most? Which was your favorite?
4- Christopher Robin’s big idea that saved his coworkers job came when he was listening to his wife and she said “it depends on how you look at it.” Has there ever been a time in your life when listening to someone else or seeing things from a different perspective has helped you solve a problem? How can you apply this to your life today?
5- Winnie the Pooh did not hesitate to help when any of his friends needed him or his encouragement. How can you be a good friend like Winnie the Pooh?
6- Sometimes we get sad when people go away, like when Christopher Robin went to school. Is there anyone you miss or are sad that they are gone?
Reviews:
3 Thoughts from the Princess
1- This movie was much funnier than I thought it would be. I laughed, I cried, and I smiled the whole time. This was such a wonderful movie I will be recommending everyone go see. Definitely the best end of summer movie!
2- This movie reminded me to examine my priorities and always look at things from a different perspective. It really made me think and take a hard look at my life. Also, Pooh Bear always encourages me and makes me want to be a better friend because he is the best friend ever.
3- this movie was beautifully made and extremely well balanced. The humor was just right and made me giggle quite a bit. It was heart felt and any Pooh Bear lover will love this movie. Also, the CGI was so good I honestly felt like they were real. Overall one of the best movies of the summer and definitely one of Disney’s best live action.
3 Thoughts from the Ranger
1 – I loved the quote “I always get to where I’m going by walking away from where I’ve been.” Winnie the Pooh is much wiser than I ever knew. He’s great friend and always looks out for those around him.
2- I was very excited when I heard that a Winnie the Pooh movie was being made. I must confess that I was a little worried about how the CGI would be executed, seeing as all the characters are cartoon animals except for Christopher Robin. But, they did an amazing job making the character blend into the world while looking kind and friendly. I don’t think this movie could’ve been done this way till recent years. Its truly magical to see a childhood memory come to life!
3- In the movie Christopher Robin grows up and loses his inner child, by getting caught up in being an adult and providing for his family. This concept is present in a lot of movies but in this one Christopher Robin didn’t go straight back right away, he fought it and held on to what he thought was important. It wasn’t until he used his imagination to help his friends that he rekindled his childlike spirit. It may not always be easy to find, but we all have a little spark of childhood in us.
What memories of Winnie the Pooh or other childhood favorites can you share with you children, like Christopher Robin shares with his daughter?

I came out mulling over two additional questions:
Who was able to match Christopher’s childhood friends with his adult friends?
Of family, work friends and childhood friends, how did their characterization Illustrate their priority to the childhood Christopher vs the adult Christopher? How is that similar to how we see people who hold these roles in our lives?
