It’s true! Taylor Swift the Eras Tour Concert is now streaming on Disney Plus!! And they’ve changed their home page to celebrate!! It’s the perfect time to have a Taylor Swift party with teens! Whether it’s just you and them or a whole group, here’s 5 tips for the person who doesn’t know anything about her and the Swiftie alike.

1- Make the atmosphere as concert like as you can!
Dim the lights and grab some glow sticks! And as painful as this might be, try not to sit through the whole thing. Get up and dance! No Taylor Swift party is complete without a little bit of ‘shaking it off’.
2- Low expectations and high praise!
The Eras tour concert movie is just that, a movie. And while it’s got fantastic shots and you can absolutely give it a concert feel, it’s not magic and it’s not the in person concert. If you’re not a big Taylor fan, you might be unimpressed by parts of the concert on film, and that’s ok. But if the teens you are watching it with are fans- just point out the parts that impress you.

Grab some fake microphones for karaoke! Some flashy, fun, sequins, beads, or wigs to shimmy in. And some boas to play with. Want the fun to last?! Add some tinsel to your hair! It stays in for a couple of months and is super fun.
4- Craft it up!
Making friendship bracelets is such a fun thing to do together!! You can grab a kit like this one or make a trip together to grab your own supplies at a local craft store. Another fun idea is painting the eras. For the less creatively inclined you can trace CD’s on a canvas or for the more creative, paint a scene or something that reminds you of each era.
5- Offer to host a Taylor Swift Party!
You don’t have to do anything fancy to make a Taylor Swift party with teens fun for Swifties! But offering to host can go a long way with teens. You can go big with Era Tour inspired snacks (there are a thousand ideas on Pinterest!). Or go smaller and just grab some chips and glow sticks from the dollar store.
